Professional Garage Door Systems, Inc. has signed a 3-year agreement with the Indianapolis Colts to be the exclusive sponsor of their Open the Roof promotion. For every home game, one lucky winner will receive 2 game tickets and weather permitting, be a part of the opening of the retractable roof at Lucas Oil Stadium 90 minutes before kickoff.
"We are very thrilled to be partnering with the Indianapolis Colts and to be sponsoring the Open the Roof promotion", said Melissa Stephens, Residential Sales and Marketing Manager. PLAINFIELD — Professional Garage Door Systems, Inc. has received a $500,000 contract for installation of overhead doors at the new Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis.
The Indiana Stadium and Convention Building Authority, responsible for financing, designing and constructing the new home of the Indianapolis Colts, awarded the contract earlier this month.
In a statement, ISCBA Executive Director John P. Klipsch said he was happy to see the work done by a “Hoosier.”
“We’re very pleased that an Indiana firm won the competition for this particular contract,” he said. “Our hope is that Hoosier contractors and vendors will continue to have comparable success consistent with the bidding requirements we are obligated to follow.”
Located at 2707 E. Main St., the Plainfield company has been doing business here since 1981 and now employs about 100 people.
Marketing Manager, Melissa Stephens said the company boasts an impressive array of residential and commercial products in stock. She mentioned they also have custom overhead door building capabilities that give them the versatility to meet just about every need.
“What most people know us for is our residential garage door work,” she said. “But we are much more than simply residential garage doors. We have a large commercial division as well.”
Rolling steel doors, sectional doors, gate operators, and dock equipment are all distributed from the Plainfield facility for commercial customers across the state. In addition to installation work, the company contracts with customers to provide regular maintenance and service on all systems.
Now being built just south of the RCA Dome, the Lucas Oil Stadium will be a seven-level arena with a retractable roof and seating for 63,000. To facilitate its use by the NCAA Final Four men’s and women’s basketball games, seating can be expanded to 70,000.
The stadium will also be used for conventions, trade shows, and special events such as Indiana Black Expo and the Circle City Classic. It is scheduled for completion in time for the Colts’ 2008 football season.
